Are you active person? Do you watch news regularly? Do you care that every 3 second someone dies from hunger? Do you like everything about politic strategy that your country follows? What do you think about third part of Twilight Saga? Did something interesting happen to you recently? Maybe you made up a new pie receipt? Or heard a funny joke? WHY YOU KEEP SILENCE? WHY YOU DON`T SHARE IT WITH OTHERS? I`m sure U HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY!
With our rights for free speech and huge technological opportunities anyone can change people consciousness, influence their point of view about anything. How? We can do this through the Internet by publishing text, photos, videos, and podcast in our own blogs or comment information on other sites where it is available. This transmission of independent information globally by unprofessional reporters who doesn’t get any material advantages calls Citizen Journalism. Today people lost their trust to Official media that is why people more often drown to the alternative sources of information in the Internet such as blogs. Citizen journalism helps keeps mainstream more or less honest. However sometimes people just want put something out.
Knowledge and experience of each of us can be very influential and helpful. Showing reality from every angle we understand what the truth is really. There are so many vivid examples of Citizen Journalism that opened our eyes and changed our mind. It is enough to remember the Protest in Burma. In a nation where an oppressive regime keeps choke holds on free speech, images began emerging online in 2007 and the voices of thousands were heard. One picture of a sea of red robes as Buddhist monks peacefully marched through the streets shortly before the military opened fire. (http://img.dailymail.co.uk/i/pix/2007/09_04/015monks_468x286.jpg )The brave man and women who documented what they saw and posted it online helped whole world understand situation in Burma.
So, share anything you find important! Affect this world! Don`t be boring!
